As I sit back at reflect on 2016 I refuse to accept that 2016 was a terrible year
Like many the deaths of Bowie, Caroline Aherne and Muhammad Ali amongst others affected us. Brexit and Trump stopped the world.
But we must not be afraid to talk about our success stories and our happy moments
2016 was our best year in business to date and for many other businesses in our network they shared similar highs
Here is Altrincham HQ in 2016 – A Year In Review
ALTRINCHAM HQ WERE VOTED BEST SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANY IN MANCHESTER
Our proudest moment in the history of Altrincham HQ
Altrincham HQ were named the Best Social Media Company at the Talk Of Manchester Awards
The Talk Of Manchester Awards recognise the best businesses in the Greater Manchester area and this year the awards received over 100,000 votes
Paul Kilroe opening up the Awards announced
“With this being a voting based awards and with over 100,000 votes received, if people don’t love what you do they simply won’t vote for you.”
Being up against another 9 Social Media Companies in Manchester we went to the event with no expectations
We walked away with the Award
MASSIVELY IMPACTING LOCAL ECONOMIES
At Altrincham HQ we’re a marketing company, but we think bigger than transactions and sales
Ultimately the main reason started out Altrincham HQ to make an impact on our local community and small businesses
This year we delivered Social Media Training and workshops to 429 senior managers and businesses
Think about that for a while? 429 people being able to market their businesses more effectively via social media
The direct impact of that is increased sales and profits for the individual businesses
The wider impact of that is often stronger local economies, increased number of staff and more spend at other local business
Everybody benefits
We’re proud to impact local economies in a positive way
TRAINING ALL OVER THE UK
One of the questions we often get asked is “Your name is Altrincham HQ – do you work outside Altrincham?”
And the answer is yes
Our skill set is universal and in previous years we’ve worked with businesses in Dubai, Italy and Canada as well as all across the North West
This year we spread across the UK working regularly in London, Glasgow, Birmingham, Worcestershire and Belfast as well all across the North West
It’s an honour to be chosen to work all across the UK
Locally the question is often – is this the best person for the job locally?
All across the UK the question is often – is this the best person for the job?
A change of one word makes all the difference
CHARITY MATTERS – FUNDRAISING FOR THE CHRISTIE, ROYAL MANCHESTER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AND CEO SLEEPOUT
If you’re doing well it’s your duty to help others
This year we organised and took part in 3 charity events
* Altrincham VS Cancer
* Back To School Challenge
* CEO Sleepout
This year Altrincham HQ organised the 3rd Altrincham VS Cancer event at Pure Gym Altrincham in aid of the Christie
Held at Pure Gym in Altrincham town centre, the event has so far raised £2,828 for The Christie and saw participants run a total of 140km on the treadmills.
The three annual events have so far raised £7,472 for The Christie, and for the past two years the event has been recognised by JustGiving for being in the top 3% of fundraisers in the UK.
We also launched the 1st Back To School Challenge event for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
The Back To School Challenge took place at Pure Gym Altrincham and has been called “The Twelve Times Table in a gym”
12 local businesses and community groups in Altrincham took part in a gruelling triathlon on Thursday September 8th which incorporated a 2K Row, 5k Cycle and ended with a 5k Run
We to managed to raise nearly £1000 for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
Homelessness was a growing issue in Manchester – every time we go to the city centre there are more and more people on the streets
That’s why we took part in the 1st ever CEO Sleepout in Manchester
CEO Sleepout is a brand new charity set up to fight homelessness and poverty. Our fight is funded with money raised by executives who sleep outdoors for one night to raise sponsorship from their business contacts and friends
It was a humbling experience in which the total raised was £63,000
THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO SUPPORTED US IN 2016
HAVE AN AWESOME 2017
