The missing link until Instagram for Business came out was that there were no real stats on how well your instagram campaigns were doing
Sure, Iconosquare gave a nice overview – but they shifted from the free / premium model to strictly paid – which the average business owner didn’t want to do
The changeover to business profile also gives your customers the option to be contact you from Instragram via email or phone and also includes a business address
And lastly – you can promote your business via promoted posts directly from instagram
INSTAGRAM INSIGHTS – TELL US MORE
If you’re familiar with Facebook Insights you’ll be familiar with Instagram Insights
You can find out
* Number of impressions that week = the total number of times your posts have been seen
* Reach that week – the number of unique accounts that have your posts
* Number of clicks to your website that week
* Top Posts
* Engagement on each post
And there’s also a huge amount of data on your followers
* Number of followers
* Gender of followers
* Age Range Of Followers – which can be displayed as all, men or women
* Top Locations – Cities or Countries
* Hours – Average times your followers are on Instagram on a typical day
* Days – The days of the week when your followers are most active
HOW DO YOU ACTIVATE YOUR BUSINESS PROFILE
1. Log into your instagram profile
2. Click My Profile
3. Click The Gear Icon to go to settings
4. Click Switch to business profile
5. Click connect facebook to connect facebook business page
It will then import your information from your facebook business page, ask you for a contact phone number and hey presto your done
It really is as simple as that
